The end of 2011 is near – seriously, there’s less than a month to go! But luckily, there’s just enough time left for us to recap the biggest moments of the year for some of our favorite celebs, new and old. This year has been HUGE for lots of them, with big movie roles and headlining tours and much more going on in their lives. 1. Headlining Her Second World Tour – The Speak Now World Tour

Taylor had a lot going on this year, including her biggest tour yet (including stops in Asia, Europe, North America) and she’ll be heading to Australia in the new year to continue it with 12 more stops. This tour is in support of her third studio albumSpeak Now.

2. Releasing a Fragrance – Wonderstruck

Tay ventured out this year into beauty products (with help from Elizabeth Arden) to create her very own perfume! The scent’s name is a reference to her song “Enchanted” from Speak Now. The fragrance hit stores in October and has gained tons of praise for its yummy scent.

3. Being Crowned Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards

Taylor’s been winning so many awards this year, but this one was pretty big – especially considering Tay was up against some stiff competition (like Adele, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry!). Katy even sent Tay a congratulatory tweet (pretty awesome, huh?)!

4. Becoming a Mommy to an Adorbs Kitty, Meredith

Not too long ago Tay introduced fans to her kitten, Meredith, via Twitter. We still can’t get over how cute she is. Our jaws kind of hurt from all of the “Awws!”

5. Snatching up Billboard’s Woman of the Year Award

We know Taylor’s been on the receiving end of some pretty spectacular awards, but this award is seriously quite the honor. It represents not only her talent, but the way she has shaped the world of music. Fans dote on her oh-so-relatable lyrics (including us!) and she’s totally honest in her songs. Plus, she has redefined musical genres, which is something not many artists can say they have done. What more could we ask for? Taylor’s definitely one of the brightest stars out there.
